RN - ASC Equipment & Supply Liasion

Under the supervision of the ASC Management team, the Equipment and Supply Liaison will coordinate equipment, provide and support case costing, inventory management and build and maintain preference cards for our Surgery Center.  

This is a part-time, .625 FTE position, with 10 hour shifts. 50 hours per pay period. OR Nurse experience required. The ability to scrub into an OR is also strongly preferred.  Qualified candidates must be flexible to float to other Summit Surgery Centers as needed. 

Facilitate Surgery Center equipment, inventory requests and needs. Provides information to Purchasing for equipment/supply procurement or consignment in response to cost and availability per contact with sales representatives.   Conducts trials of specific supplies/equipment per committee or physician request to determine current or alternative supplies.  Establishes relationship with manufacturer's representative/vendors to facilitate pricing and availability of instrumentation/equipment/supply requests for the surgery center. Provides oversight for the communication of instrumentation needs to surgery center team, the creation of merging of instrument trays for new procedures and the establishment of products in house. Facilitates the new physician intake process by obtaining physician preferences, researching and pricing out requested instruments and building and maintaining preference cards. Other duties as assigned.
