**Job Type:** Per Diem **Time Type:** Part time **Work Shift:** Night (United States of America) **FLSA Status:** Non-Exempt **When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.** Per Diem; varied hours/shift according to operational needs **Job Description:** **Duties/Responsibilities** + Assess physical status of newborn using age-appropriate knowledge. + Plans, evaluates, and supervises care of all patients assigned. + Works collaboratively with other disciplines in care of patients. + Participates in formal and informal educational programs to improve technical skills. + Responsible for continued learning and application to practice. + Synthesizes patient care information to formulate appropriate nursing diagnosis. + Responsible to provide newborn and family education. + Work practice reflects philosophy purpose and policies of the hospital department. + Demonstrates knowledge and competence in care of the newborn using appropriate treatments, therapies and clinical interventions. + Responds to physical and psychological needs of high-risk mother/baby. + Maintains current Neonatal Resuscitation Certification. + Demonstrates knowledge of standards of care for newborns. _It is understood that this is a summary of key job functions and does not include every detail of the job that may reasonably be required._ **Minimum Requirements:** + Current Massachusetts RN license + Continuing Care/Special Care orNICU experience required + AHABLS certification required + NRP required + Willingness to cross train topost partumand well newborn required + Prior experience working as RN required + STABLE required **Recommended Requirements:** + Experience caring for Mother/Baby preferred **As a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
