Position Summary
Provides quality nursing care to the patient through the application of the nursing process, adaptive exercise therapy and disease management tools using evidence based practice, focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience within the framework of Shared Governance.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Required:
All hires after July 2012 are required to have a Bachelor's Degree in nursing OR if Associates Degree or Diploma, RN must provide proof of enrollment in a BSN program prior to hire, be continuously enrolled and complete within 5 years of hire date or internal RN promotion date.
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Required:
Two years or more of ICU/CCU experience or 3 years minimum telemetry experience required.
Preferred:
One or more years of experience in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.
License, Registry or Certification:
Required:
Current New Jersey RN licensure and American Heart Association BCLS & ACLS certification, ANCC certified as Cardiac/Vascular Specialist or must sit for exam within one year of hire
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required:
Cardiac/pulmonary and Diabetic Disease management; IV therapy, basic arrhythmia interpretation, basic computer skills. Must pass annual clinical competency based program and mandated in-service education.
Preferred:
Knowledge/practice of readiness to change strategies and motivational interviewing for effective communication skills in patient teaching and counseling
