Registered Nurse Lenoir City, Tennessee, Day shift Mon-Fri 8:00am to 5:00pm Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) will assist the provider throughout the clinic with a variety of duties to ensure efficient patient care and clinic operations. Responsibilities + Prepare patients for scheduled procedures and assist in patient assessment. + Accurately record patient history and perform basic triage procedures according to policy. + Retrieve initial basic condition of patients, create nursing history, and report to the appropriate practitioner. + Assist providers with examinations and procedures. + Monitor and ensure accuracy of recordings on patient medical records, maintaining all required reports, records, and statistics. + Ensure adequate stock of supplies and well-maintained equipment. + Inspect area daily for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and standards, taking corrective action when necessary. + Schedule all outside patient appointments per physician order and relay information accurately to patients. + Take calls from hospitals/nursing homes and relay appropriate information to the practitioner in a timely manner. + Ensure test results are received and relayed to patients in a timely manner. + Complete medical orientation checklist. + Initiate appropriate patient education. Essential Skills + Registered Nurse (RN) with state of TN or compact state licensure + BLS Certified + Proficiency in handling medical records and telehealth Additional Skills & Qualifications + Strong phone communication skills + Ability to work efficiently in an office setting Work Environment This position is based in an office setting. The work environment includes using standard office equipment, maintaining a well-stocked supply of medical materials, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
