Job Description:

RN-Cath-Lab-Full-Time

Assists team preparing the lab for procedures, as well as preparing the patient for procedure.  Administers medication per physician during procedures and monitors the patients’ status.Assists scrub person/physician with periphery equipment, such as setting up IABP, IVUS, and maintaining sterility while handing off sterile supplies. Cross trains with other lab personnel.  Other duties, as assigned. Has adequate knowledge to approach adults, and geriatric patients for the purpose of required patient care abilities with techniques appropriate to the individual’s chronological, emotional, cognitive and physical maturation level.   All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.  

I. Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required

Graduate of an accredited school of NursingCurrent RN license in the state of Kentucky or Kentucky work permit.Must have at least 1 year in critical care, cardiac Cath, and/or peripheral proceduresCertifications based on the unit worked:BLSACLS12 Lead EKG
