The Woodlands Hospital provides expertise in a broad range of services, including heart care, neurology, sports medicine, diagnostic imaging, women’s services, neurosciences, pediatric care (Level III NICU) surgery, pathology, pulmonary care and sleep disorders. Responsibilities

Our world needs compassion like never before. Our communities need caring, and our families need protection. In this role, your patients will be critically ill or unstable following extensive injury, surgery, or life threatening diseases. Our nurses wear many hats daily from patient advocate to family advisor and, in some cases, even friend.

Expectations of a Cath Lab Nurse

Patience and focus to constantly monitor high acuity patientsProven ability to think and react quickly in critical situations Prepare instruments, equipment and supplies for proceduresSupport physician with cath proceduresMedication administration and patient recoveryPassion for excellence in delivering quality care

On Call Requirements include about 8 days per month. Must be able to be onsite within a 30 minute window.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma.   One (1) or more years of nursing experienceLicensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of TexasBasic Life Support (BLS)(AHA) with skills demonstrationACLS

Preferred Skills:  

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferredOne (1) or more years of experience in Cath Lab or ICU setting preferred
