About Shriver Job Corps Center
The Shriver Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Advanced Computer Systems Administration, Advanced Transportation Service Worker, Various Computer Sciences, CNA, Automotive Maintenance, Millwright Welding, Office Administration and Security & Protective Services.
Our 21-acre campus is nestled away minutes off of RTE 2, and 2A on Jackson Road in Devens MA. We service between 200 and 300 dorm students ages 16 to 24 years old at any given time with rolling admissions weekly. Our staff value the student experience and often cite the personal impact of what we do as a major factor of employment satisfaction. In addition, we have amenities that are open for staff to utilize such as a gym, basketball courts, full service cafeteria and more.
Position Summary
Responsible for the provision of preventative and emergency health services and wellness education to students aged 16 - 24. Ensures confidentiality of sensitive information and compliance with all HIPAA laws. May serve as Health & Wellness Director (if allowed under local state practice law). Assists in the supervision and management of the Wellness Services Department and subcontracted wellness services including mental health, dental and medical services.
Responsibilities
Evaluates student health issues and concerns, makes referrals as appropriate Maintain and revises current healthcare guidelines to ensure quality and effective wellness service to students Coordinate and oversee the chronic condition case management programs Ensures the Center establishes and maintains Memorandums of Understandings with local health centers Work with Safety and Security Department to complete and submit required Incident Reports Participate as an active member of the Center's HEALs (Healthy Eating, Active Lifestyles) committee. May serve as chairperson! Proactively manages the Center's medical separation process and provides students with the required medical services and referrals to ensure student return and completion of the Job Corps program Provides quality programs and services for students and ensures that quality is maintained and student needs are met.Benefits
