Position Purpose

 At Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital we serve patients with a broad range of conditions including neuromuscular diseases, stroke, amputation, brain injury, spinal cord injury, motor vehicle accidents and general debilitation and the Behavioral Health Units provide care including inpatient Adult, Inpatient Child and Adolescent and Dual Diagnosis services.

What you will do

The Clinical Coordinator assists in the management of unit personnel, the nursing unit environment, and collaborates with patients, families, peers, physicians and other members of the health care team in the delivery of health care services to all ages of patients. The Clinical Coordinator provides direct care to patients based on patients' age, developmental level, and priorities. Position may require working at both campuses and alternate sites.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing – BSN preferredLicensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut  ACLS and PALS preferredExperience:  Knowledge of current nursing, medical and health trends, and practices. Experience with mentoring nursing students. Knowledge and experience with SAMSHA regulations, DPH, Joint Commission, Utilization management Detoxification requirements, Core measures, and psychiatric experience with the adult, child and adolescent and TBI and Rehab populations.
