About the unit 

At Corewell Health we understand that a breast cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming. We can bring you clarity and direction by answering questions about your diagnosis, discussing all your treatment options, and exploring the latest clinical trials available. Using our team approach, we will coordinate your care with different breast cancer specialists and support services across our different locations so you can receive care where it is most convenient for you. You will be assigned a dedicated Nurse Navigator and Social Worker who will oversee your care, guide you through treatment, and be available to you whenever you need. We are committed to always exploring the latest, most advanced cancer treatments and technologies available.

About Outpatient Clinics 

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. 

Scope of work 

Responsible and accountable for the overall nursing care management of an assigned group of patients. Collaborates with the Nurse Manager and other members of the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat the patient's responses to actual or potential health conditions. Assesses, monitors, detects, plans, and takes appropriate action to prevent potential physiological complications associated with specific health problems and / or medical treatment. 

Qualifications 

Associate's Degree Nursing or Equivalent Required Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) Preferred MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required  AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days Two years of experience as an RN strong preferred
