RN Coordinator OR - Microplastics/Plastics *Days*

RN Coordinator in the Operating Room working with Microplastics and Plastics cases at Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance in Torrance, CA. This is a full-time day shift position.

Duties include but not limited to- coordinating with surgeons on their procedures, schedules, and their specific requests; coordinating workflow and equipment with respective vendors, assisting staff with targeted in-services and unit-based education, and working towards the goals of the operating room stated metrics; serves as a resource and a mentor to the team and supports the development of TIP RN’s, RN’s and senior RN’s, and may participate in presenting in-services for the staff; monitors inventory (orders and restock supplies), instruments, and equipment; prepares and verifies supplies and equipment list for surgical procedures and maintains/updates preference cards; can act as a board runner (charge nurse) when coverage is needed; and other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited nursing program. California Registered Nurse License upon hire. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate - NIH Stroke Scale Training Course upon hire. 1 year Nursing experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualification:

National Certification in area of specialty upon hire.
