Amergis
Amergis is searching for a qualified Registered Nurse for an ICE detention center. The Correctional RN works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure the well-being of the incarcerated population. The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specific challenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing care to their patient population. This care includes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facility setting.
Shifts: This position requires availability to work: day, evening and night shifts; availability during weekends and holidays is also required. Both full time and PRN / Per Diem are available.
Required Education and Experience:
· Degree issuing institution and or program must be accredited by an entity recognized by the U.S. Department of Education,
· Graduate from an associate, baccalaureate, or graduate nursing program for Registered Nurses located in a State, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory accredited by The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of a current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.
· Minimum one year of professional experience as a licensed registered nurse in a hospital, medical office or residential setting.
· Experience in a detention/correctional healthcare setting preferred.
· Verbal and written proficiency in Spanish (preferred, not required).
· Must be capable of passing a federal background check
Required license and certification:
· Current, full and unrestricted license as Registered Nurse in the state or a compact state that allows practice in the state in which the duty station is located.
· Maintains BLS for Healthcare Providers® certification through the American Heart Association®.
· Certified Correctional Health Professional, Certified Correctional Health Professional –Registered Nurse, or Certified Corrections Nurse credential preferred, not required.
In addition to Amergis’ standard benefits package, we are offering the following:

· Up to 56 hours of paid sick leave
· 11 paid federal holidays (regardless of working on the holiday)
· $44.64 per hour plus an additional $4.93/hour up to 40 hours per week
