Modality RN ICU Specialty CCU (Coronary Care Unit) Specific Skills/Qualifications Needed 1 year recent experience (within 24 months) in specialty applying for TRAVEL ONLY, MORE THAN 50 MILES Coronary Care Unit NO LOCAL TRAVELERS (within 50-mile radius) Arrhythmia Exam Required (Study Guide Available) Previous CORONARY CARE experience required. Minimum 2 years ICU experience Will consider new travelers IABP, Impella, Swan Catheters, CRRT (Baxter PrisMax), conscious sedation, vents experience Required to work every other weekend and every other major holiday. BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Certs required 12-Hr Nights, 7:30p-8:00a Will accept approved covid declination Shift Nights Contract Length 13 weeks Hours per week 36 Start Date Nursing : Every other Monday 1/6, 1/27, 2/10. 2/24, 3/10. 3/24. 4/7. 4/21, 5/5, 5/19, 6/2, 6/16, 7/7, 7/28, 8/11. 8/25, 9/8, 9/22, 10/6, 10/20, 11/3, 11/17, 12/1, 12/15 Allied : Any Day The Critical Care Registered Nurse assumes responsibilityand accountability for the application of the nursing process and the deliveryof patient care in a variety of critical care settings. Consistently performsaccording to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care andassisting others in the management of patient care. Responsibilities includemonitoring, assessment, vital sign monitoring, ventilator management,medication administration, intravenous insertion and infusion, central linecare, catheters, and maintenance of a running record of the patient’s status.The Critical Care RN must be prepared at all times to perform cardiopulmonaryresuscitation and other lifesaving measures for the patients in their care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement andevaluate patient care + Assesses signs and symptoms indicating physiologic andpsychosocial changes in the patient’s condition + Collects, documents, analyzes, and interprets data and otherinformation from healthcare team members + Communicates nursing interventions, expected outcomes andthe time frames for expected completion to other members of the hospital healthcare team + Functions as a resource to the health care team members inplanning for patient’s discharge + Documents the patient’s plan of care using identifiednursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursinginterventions + Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment + Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education + Compares expected and actual outcomes of care and identifiesdeviation from the plan of care + Adheres to facility/client policies, procedures andprotocols at all times + Performs other duties as assigned/necessary Minimum Requirements: + CurrentRegistered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices + One year of critical care experience is preferred + Minimum of one year acute or critical care experiencepreferred + Current BLS card; current ACLS/PALS card (per facilityrequirement) + Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice + Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency programwhen applicable + TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site + Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements + Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers,clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English languageis required + Computer proficiency required + Must be at least 18 years of age Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: + Competitive pay & weekly paychecks + Health, dental, vision, and life insurance + 401(k) savings plan + Awards and recognition programs *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
