Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse assigned to the Critical Care/Emergency dept (High Acuity) Float Pool receives $7.50/hour float pool premium.

The registered nurse in the Clinical High Acuity Float Pool is prepared and available to work on multiple inpatient units (ICU, Progressive Care & ED) when deemed necessary. This position requires working (5) 12 hour shifts every two weeks. This position also works every other weekend. The Float Pool is an opportunity for RNs to widen their scope of practice, develop additional skills and broad their knowledge base. RNs in the Float Pool must be competent to perform independently in at least three units and have at least one year of relevant hospital experience. RNs hired into the Float Pool shall become proficient in Telemetry within six months of hire. Virginia Mason has transformed health care through innovations in patient safety. Qualifications
We require:
- Current WA State RN license is required.
- 1 or more years recent RN experience with critical care patients.
- CPR certification is required every two years or as specified by the work.
- Other certifications may be required for specialty areas.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
Preferred Qualifications: ACLS preferred.
ED/ICU experience preferred
