Anticipated start date February 2025 through May 2025Tier 1: Current ICU RN Experience required– minimum of 6 months total
Tier 2: 6 months current RN ANW Telemetry experience OR 1-year current RN experience required in areas: Telemetry, PACU, ED
Tier 3: RN New Graduate with completion of ICU capstone or ICU rotation as a nursing student or experience in the ICU setting as a NA/other patient care role required. New Graduates would be part of the Abbott Northwestern critical care New Grad Pipeline or ICU Direct Program.

Nursing is the diagnosis and treatment of human response to actual or potential health problems. This includes establishing an intentional therapeutic relationship between a registered nurse and a patient and family. As a leader and the integrator of care, the professional nurse has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for planning, coordinating and evaluating the patient’s care needs.
Provides specialized care to patients who are severely ill or injured. May practice in an intensive care unit or in a care area that requires the expertise of the critical care nurse.
Principle Responsibilities
◦ Demonstrates ability to coordinate, delegate, and direct unit operation, collaborates effectively with unit staff, leadership and other disciplines.Preceptor (only when acting in this role).
◦ Demonstrates ability to identify the orientee's learning needs, plans appropriate learning experiences and demonstrates ability to validate clinical competence of orientee.Other duties as assigned.

◦ Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
