**16358BR** **Title:** RN - ED Communications Specialist **Department/Cost Center:** 616 - Emergency Department **Job Description:** **Come Join our Exceptional ED Team:** - State-of-the-art facility that offers a fast-paced environment with comprehensive patient care - First geriatric accredited ED in the area - Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation (ACEP)/ experts in geriatric care **The Emergency Medicine Communication Specialist (EMCS) serves as the first point of contact between the HH Emergency Department, prehospital providers and outside facilities for both adult and pediatric patients to determine needed resources, optimize throughout and maintain patient safety and facilitate transfer of patient when necessary. Based on the information received, the EMCS serves a vital role in distribution of information and activation of specific care teams including but not limited to Emergency Medicine, Stroke, etc. The EMCS will also receive critical lab notifications and disperse the information to the appropriate clinicians** . **Part-time and Full-time positions available. SCHEDULE - 10a-10:30pm. The position provides professional nursing services for patients and their families and/or for the nursing department. Collaborates with other health care providers and health care team members to achieve expected patient outcomes and improve the care environment. Nurses use the nursing process and evidence based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support care. **Level II Registered Nurse (RN):** The Level II RN, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent patient care based on established standards and the nursing process. The Level II Registered Nurse may assume expanded unit roles as available and assigned by Nurse Manager as a charge nurse or preceptor. The Level II nurse supports peers in the delivery of patient care, uses appropriate team communication methods, and practices care that reflects the patient condition and priorities. The Level II nurse provides support to team problem solving. The Level II nurse identifies opportunities for self-growth and contributes to the development of other learners. The Level II nurse contributes to safe unit environment and operations. **PAY RANGE: $37.95 - $50.15** _*The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Fulfilled the requirements to be licensed as a registered nurse in NYS. Experience: Must have current applicable clinical experience; and at least two years in acute care nursing; critical care experience a plus.
