Scope of work

Under the direction of the nurse manager or other nursing leader, the assistant nurse manager has responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the nursing department and their effect on patient care in the department.

Qualifications

Associates in Nursing RequiredBachelors in Nursing or MSN PreferredTwo years of relevant nursing experience required, highly prefer EC nursing experienceParticipation in leadership activities (unit, hospital or system Shared Governance meetings, precepting, charge RN role, etc.) is highly preferredMI Registered Nurse (RN) RequiredBasic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire/transfer from one of the following organizations - American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Canadian Heart and Stroke.ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer. TNCC within 1 year of hire/transfer.  ENPC or PALS within 15 months of hire/transferSpecialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
