Job Summary

\n

The Registered Nurse on Unit is a key player in patient care management, following our nursing practice model. They work with other health care staff to deliver patient care effectively. Our Registered Nurses use the nursing process efficiently. They diagnose patient responses to health issues and create care plans accordingly. It includes evaluating healthcare needs and responses.

\n

What You'll Do

\n\nPrioritize needs. Create, implement, and assess care plan to achieve outcomes. Adapt plan as necessary.\nObserve indicators closely, support evidence-based changes with research and hands-on learning.\nCreate a caring, safe environment for patients, families, and staff.\nBuild relationships with boundaries in mind. Focus on managing emotional and physical pain to promote healing and reduce suffering.\nFacilitate learning for all members of the healthcare team, including patients, families, and nursing staff, ensuring everyone is well-informed.\nCollaborate effectively with colleagues and the community to develop and execute an integrated plan of care.\nUse problem-solving strategies and utilize available resources to support patients, family and staff as part of a systems thinking approach.\n\n

What Will Make You Successful In The Role

\n\nFamiliarity with nursing and patient care standards and procedures.\nAwareness of legal requirements and standards of certification and accreditation bodies, including the specifics of the hospital and respective department/unit.\nGood command of medical terminology, with a focus on healthcare promotion, risk reduction, and disease prevention.\nEffective communication skills, along with social aptitude for interacting with diverse stakeholders.\nPossessing critical thinking and problem-solving skills is crucial.\nCapability to identify and report changes in patient conditions, develop, and modify patient care plans as required.\nBasic computer skills necessary for day-to-day assignments.\n\n

Qualifications

\n\nCompletion of an accredited course or have at least 2 years of experience surpassing the minimal qualification required.\nField of Study: The applicable major should be nursing.\nA minimum of 2 years in a relevant role is expected.\nCertification: Hold a BLS certificate now or obtain within 30 days of starting in this role.\nRegistered Nurse License\n
