Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Endocrinology and Infectious Disease department is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients with endocrine and infectious diseases. The RN will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
+ Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients with endocrine and infectious diseases.
+ Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, including vaccinations and diabetes treatments.
+ Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
+ Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Coordinate with home health and handle refill requests.
+ Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including electronic health records (EHR) and handle prior authorization.
+ Implement and adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
+ Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in endocrinology and infectious disease nursing.
Essential Skills
+ Patient care

+ Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
+ Graduate of an accredited nursing program
+ Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in endocrinology or infectious disease
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Work Environment
Endocrinology & Infectious Disease outpatient office, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $66500.00 - $79000.00
