Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The Quality Coordinator will develop, maintain, and oversee the Cincinnati Cancer and Cellular Therapy Center (CCCTC) Quality Management Plan, along with the development and review of processes and policies in collaboration with the CCCTC Medical Director and Operations leadership. The Quality Coordinator coordinates continuous process improvement activities including audits of critical processes to ensure compliance with the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) standards.
Essential Job Functions
Maintains and oversees the CCCTC Quality Management Plan.
Directs CCCT7plC activities to ensure compliance with FACT standards.
Conducts audits of clinical and collection activities for compliance with accrediting and regulatory organizations.
Maintains comprehensive Specialty Quality Committee (SQC) binder/folder which includes reports, minutes, quality plans and performance improvement goals.
Formally evaluates Process Improvement (PI) goals on an annual basis.
Conducts concurrent medical record reviews and abstraction of data for quality review activities.
Coordinates data submission for external performance improvement activities and projects.
Prepares standardized request for information received from program and hospital leadership as well as payers to remain in compliance with centers of excellence.
Establishes optimal processes for collection, dissemination and analysis of clinical data and quality information. Schedules and participates in audit visits by regulatory agencies.
Conducts reviews of clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory agency directives.

Licensing/Certification
Current RN License in the state in which they are working or covered by compact (required)
OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) (preferred)
BMT-CTN (Bone Marrow Transplant-Cellular Therapy Nurse) (preferred)
Education
Bachelors of Science Nursing (BSN), or Specialty Nursing (required)
Masters of Science Nursing (MSN), or Specialty Nursing (preferred)
Work Experience
2 years' recent experience as Registered Nurse in Oncology (required)
Transplant and/or Cellular Therapy experience (preferred)

Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
