Job Summary: The Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) for robotic surgical procedures performs first assistant duties for adult patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room at Loma Linda University Medical Center-Murrieta (LLUMC-Murrieta) as specified in the designated standardized procedure. Practices under the direct supervision of the surgeon who has privileges in robotic-assisted surgery and in accordance with designated standardized procedures. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Minimum one year experience as registered nurse in a clinical setting of specialty area assigned required.

Able to distinguish colors and smells as necessary for patient care; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone; identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the work place and patient care; see adequately to read computer screens, medical records, and written documents necessary to position; discern temperature variances through touch.
Licensures and Certifications: Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certification required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association required.
