The Bremerton Freestanding ED is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at our state-of-the-art free-standing emergency room. We are committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.


Responsibilities

**Responsibilities:**

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical emergencies, including but not limited to:    Cardiac issues* Respiratory distress * Neurological events* Gastrointestinal issues  * Musculoskeletal injuriesConduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examination.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient responses to treatment.Educate patients and families about their condition, treatment plan, and discharge instructions.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records.Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, technicians, and support staff.Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.
Qualifications

Job Requirements:  

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferredMinimum 6 months previous RN experience required.Previous Emergency experience or Critical Care experience within the last 2 years preferredCurrent licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within sixty days of hire, and maintained as current thereafter.Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association. Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.Completion of a NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider) class is required at sites that do not provide labor and delivery services within twelve months of date of hire and must be maintained as current thereafter.  Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) within twelve months of date of hire.  Certification must be maintained as current thereafter.  National Institutes of Health Strokes Scale (NIHSS) certification within six months of date of hire, and maintained as current thereafter.Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC) OR Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within twelve months of date of hire.  Certification(s) must be maintained as current thereafter.Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and/or Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification is preferred.
