RN/GN Critical Care Pathway at St. Peter's Health Partners- FT Nights for late Summer and Winter Grads 2024
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** 12 Hour Night Shift **Description:** **Registered Nurse - Critical Care Pathway/CCU Nurse Residency** If you are a new nurse looking for an RN position in Critical Care this could be your opportunity. Here at St. Peter's Health Partner's, we care for more people in more places. Our CCU Pathway is built to ensure success into our elevated ICUs after completing specific milestones placed by Educators in unit starting in Progressive Care or Step Down prior to cross training into ICU for either St Peters or Samaritan Hospital. Our critical care nurse Managers interview in a panel style for ICU,PCU and Step Down both live and via Teams virtually. Live interviews are on the first Thursday of month and virtual interviews run every 3rd Thursday of the month if unable to do live. The managers conduct interviews (30 mins) w potential shadow invite thereafter in hopes everything goes well. **Position Highlights:** + **Quality of Life:** Where career opportunities and quality of life converge + **Advancement:** Strong orientation program, generous tuition allowance and career development + **Work/Life:** Positions and shifts to accommodate all schedules **What you will do:** + Deliver care, including assessing needs, planning and meeting the needs of patients starting in PCU, to SDU than ICU dependent on completing all specific milestones via Education and Orientation on initial Step Down unit initially offered/assigned. **Responsibilities:** + The RN is responsible for assessing the needs of each patient where assigned. + Planning the nursing care needed, including spiritual, emotional and physiological needs. Once planned, the RN is responsible for seeing that the plan of care is carried out through performance and or leadership of supervised personnel and that the plan of care is evaluated + The RN is directly accountable to the Nurse Manager for the quality of patient care delivered + The RN modifies and delivers care that is specific to the age, growth and development of patients according to the unit scope of services + When serving in the charge role, the RN is responsible for clinical and leadership functions, for assessing the needs of each patient and planning the nursing care needed to meet those needs **What you will need:** + A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York + Registered Nurses in the CCU must possess the ability to assess, plan, direct, intervene and evaluate patient care + The RN must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written + New Grads welcome + RNs who are interested in CCU or ACUTE welcome + Cover Letter + Updated Resume + Professional Letter of Recommendation ****** **All hires within the CCU Pathway** will be for Full Time Nights and will continue to FT Nights as they transition into their respected ICU areas, any day shift requests will be maintained after orientation is completed on ICU unit and placed on to Days list by Manager approval. Pay Range:$35.00 - $49.95 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
