Acts as collaborative member of the clinic team in providing continuity of and quality patient care.  Assesses and provides appropriate intervention for the problems that patients and families experience related to their health care and treatment to include teaching, counseling and supporting as needed to assist provider, patient and family.  Also acts as lead clinician in assistance to provider and/or as dedicated telephone assistant.

Education: 

Current Alabama RN license or a current RN multi-state license

Experience

Minimum of one year clinic experience in direct patient care setting.

Additional Skills/Abilities:

Venipuncture and skilled injection required. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.  Must be able to use computer terminal, fax machine and copy machine.
