+ ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Provides developmentally appropriate, high acuity psychosocial and clinical care respective to the assigned patient population. + Demonstrates excellence in nursing practice characterized by quality patient care and participation in formal and informal patient and staff education. + Communicates and collaborates effectively with all members of the healthcare team. + Performs other duties as assigned. + LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS + Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license. + RN certification preferred. + MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS + Must have an Associates in Nursing/Diploma in Nursing with applicable experience. BSN is preferred. + Pediatric experience preferred. + If in the infusion clinic, minimum of 1 year experience in Hematology/Oncology preferred. + CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire. + PALS training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire for infusion clinic; within 6 months for inpatient. + APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Status preferred or must be obtained within 120 days of hire. + WORKING CONDITIONS + Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures.
