Avon Hospital's Radiology Unit offers state-of-the-art diagnostic radiology services to provide fast, accurate and less invasive diagnosis of a medical problem. As an RN, you will provide routine patient care to those coming to the unit for imaging services and related appointments. In this position, a supportive and welcoming attitude can leave a lasting impression on everyone who encounter. **A caregiver in this position works weekends from 7:00AM - 7:30PM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare settings. + Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patient records and notify physicians of abnormal findings. + Perform telephone triage and call rotations. + Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications. + Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the health care team. + Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs and facilitate discharge planning. + Evaluate, initiate and maintain standards of care. + Educate patients and families. + Cover other nursing roles in the department. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing + Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) + One year of recent experience as an RN Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Two years of recent experience as an RN Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
