Amergis Healthcare has an opportunity for an RN to provide Hospice care in the Worcester or Leominster areas.
Weekly Pay:
$68/hour, travel options are available
Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted MA nursing license 2 years experience in hospice care OASIS experienceWorcester Schedule: 40 hours/week, 8a-4:30p OR 24 hours/week, Saturday/Sunday 10a-10p OR 24 hours/week, 8a-4:30p
Leominster Schedule: 40 hours/week, M-F 8a-4:30p
Job Duties:
Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care Performs focused interview to identify specific patient needs Assesses signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in patient’s condition Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses Documents the patient’s plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions Identifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient care requirements Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the hospital policies and patient care outcome standard Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education and provides guidance and support Revises plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, effective/ineffective nursing interventions Documents the patient’s response to nursing and other interventions Uses clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs of an assigned floor/unit including establishing priorities Monitors safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment Advises grieving family members on coping techniques and community resources Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
