Responsibilities
Critical Care at St. Francis includes a 14-bed medical/surgical intensive care unit and a 16-bed progressive care unit. In the ICU, we take care of patients who’ve experienced cardiac arrest, hypothermia and sepsis. In the PCU, we have a varied medical/surgical population of cardiac, vascular, pulmonary, bariatric and sepsis patients. Our ICU registered nurses provide primary care and we have an RN to patient ratio of 2:1. The PCU has an RN to patient ratio of 4:1.

Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferredOne year of related work experience is preferredCurrent WA state Licensure as a Registered NurseCurrent CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse), CSC (Cardiac Surgery) Certification preferredAmerican Heart Association Healthcare Basic Life Support certification requiredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support certification or attainment within six months of hire
