About this Unit: Are you seeking the opportunity to gain experience on multiple units? If so, then our Float Pool team is right for you! As an Intermediate Care Float Pool RN you will float to the Neuro unit, Cardiac Telemetry, Surgical and IMC units. In a less frequent capacity you may float to Orthopedic, Medical/Tele unit, Observation and Oncology. You will have additional opportunity to cross train more areas if needs dictate. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate. This is an evening position, 56 hours every two weeks, 8 hour shifts (3pm-11:30 pm) with every other weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Qualifications Required Qualifications MN RN License BLS for Health Care Providers Minimum 6 months acute care RN experience Preferred Qualifications BSN or higher degree in nursing strongly preferred Neuro and cardiac care experience Experience with electronic medical records (EPIC) Demonstrate the ability to work under stress in a variety of situations.
