Responsibilities

Clinical Practice: utilizes appropriate resources to gather data and assess patient care needs.
Collaboration, delegation, supervision: Forms partnerships with all members of the interdisciplinary team; Communications with coworkers and other departments in a professional manner.
Advocates for the patient and family and protects patient's autonomy, dignity and decision making rights. Delivers care in a non-judgemental and nondiscriminatory manner; Demonstrated sensitivity to cultural diversities of patients and coworkers; identifies, documents and report incidents per organization standards; Supports mission of VMFH; Supports philosophy of patient centered care and assists support staff to do so; Supports belief that anchor the documentation system and documents according to established standards.
Maintain clinical and professional expertise through continuing education; Update knowledge base by attending inservices on new equipment and procedures.


Qualifications

We require:

Current WA State RN license is required.Recent RN experience with acute care patients.Other certifications may be required for specialty areas.Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements
