Responsibilities

Virginia Mason Medical Center, was recognized among the Best Hospitals in Washington state by U.S. News & World Report. We have a new Per diem RN role available in our Anesthesia Pain clinic. The Virginia Mason Interventional Pain Clinic, in Seattle assists patients who are suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions. We specialize in interventional pain management approaches for a wide variety of problems, including spinal pain and cancer pain. We also provide consultations on medication management. The Interventional Pain Clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art X-ray (fluoroscopic) and ultrasound equipment. We work closely with Virginia Mason's Section of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, where spine clinic evaluations and treatment are provided.

The services we provide in this clinic includes: Epidural Steroid Therapy; Facet and Sacroiliac Joint Therapy; Intrathecal and Epidural Therapy; Nerve Blocks for Chronic, Postoperative or Cancer Pain; Spinal Cord and Peripheral Nerve Stimulation; Trigger Point Therapy.   

The RN role will be to provide monitored care for sedation. 

Procedural RN position in the Interventional Pain Clinic. Will perform moderate sedation under physician guidance and assist with procedures during non-sedation cases. No call shifts or weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

Current Washington State licensure as an RN

 CPR certification is required every two years.  ACLS will be required within 60 days. 

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.

Strong patient assessment skills, ability to work collaboratively in team setting, Current working knowledge of electronic medical records.
