Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse to join our dynamic Interventional Radiology team. The Clinical Nurse in Interventional Radiology will provide direct patient care to a diverse population undergoing a wide range of interventional procedures. Responsibilities include pre- and post-procedure assessment and care, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, assisting the physician during procedures, and maintaining a safe and sterile environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent critical thinking skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive pre- and post-procedure nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.Monitor patient vital signs, hemodynamic parameters, and administer medications as ordered.Assist the physician during procedures, maintaining a sterile field and providing necessary supplies.Educate patients and families about procedures and post-procedure care. Document patient care accurately and completely in the electronic medical record.Collaborate effectively with physicians, technologists, and other members of the healthcare team.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment. Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to all hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of current acute care registered nursing experience in a specialty area is required.If an inexperienced employee must complete the first training session offered.Current certification in specialty area preferred. Experience with Open heart and balloon pump preferred.CCRN Certification preferred.TNCC certification preferred. Experience with EHR (Cerner MediTech etc?) preferred.Registered Nurse with current California License required.Current AHA BLS card required.ACLS EKG competency required.LA City Fire Card is required. (must be obtained within the first 90 days of the start date.)
