Qualifications:\n\nAbility to work independently and with minimal direct supervision\nExceptional capacity to deal successfully with a variety of individuals\nAbility to work effectively with faculty, students, and staff\nApproved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education\n\n

Primary Function:\n\nThe primary function of the job position is to plan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate the Nursing Assistant Training Program implemented by this facility in accordance with current federal and state guidelines.\nDevelopment, implementation and evaluation of the nurse aide training and competency evaluation program.\n\n

Responsibilities:\n\nSchedule class dates and assign instructors\nInterview and accept students\nCommunicates with Director of Nursing to facilitate enrollment\nOrders instructional materials, including textbooks\nInterviews, hires, supervises, and evaluates faculty\nAssists with orientation of new faculty\nAssists with resolving student and\/or faculty issues\nAttends meetings and seminars as required\nFacilitates approval process by PDE\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nConducts periodic, comprehensive, program evaluation\nParticipates in the compliance review process conducted by the Pennsylvania Department of Education\nPlan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate the educational curriculum for the Nursing Assistant Training Program to meet the Federal regulations of OBRA and the State law of Act 14\nParticipate in the selection and\/or dismissal of instructors and administrative support personnel\nProvide leadership in formulating the goals and objectives of the Nursing Assistant Training Program\nDirect the preparation, scheduling and selection of instructional material, equipment, and training aids to ensure that a modern, meaningful training program is provided to meet the Federal regulations of OBRA and the State law of Act 14\nRemain current on new developments by attending professional institutions, reading professional journals, and attending professional seminars\nMaintain confidentiality of all student records and resident care information\nMaintain appropriate recordkeeping documents as outlined in the course specifications as well as mandated by the Pennsylvania Department of Education\n\n
