Amergis Healthcare Staffing is looking for a Long-Term Acute Care Nurse to provide planning and delivery of direct or indirect patient care to medically complex patients. Responsibilities:
– RML Hinsdale Location Shifts: Nights 7p-7:30am Contract: 6 weeks Provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care Responsible for providing care to medically complex patients Supervises care, treatment, and services of the patient(s) Documents the patient’s plan of care using identified nursing diagnosis, expected patient outcomes and selected nursing interventions Maintains confidentiality at all times with patients, medical staff and co-workers Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment Experience in acute rehabilitation for vents, wound care, cardiac, stable post trauma patients Adheres to and supports the policies/procedures/goals/objectives of the hospital in an attempt to provide quality patient care Revises plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care and nursing interventions Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the hospital policies and patient care outcome standard Identifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient care requirements Supports professional practice by observing the following: Uses knowledge and practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act; Joint Commission, state and local laws; and Patient’s Bill of Rights hospital policies Performs other duties as assigned/necessary Minimum Requirements: Current nursing license for the state in which the nurse practices One (1) year nursing experience in a long term acute care facility preferred Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required Computer proficiency required Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: Competitive pay & weekly paychecks Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) savings plan Awards and recognition programs *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
