About the unit
The Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) and Central Telemetry Monitoring Systems (CTMS) are great collaborating teams and are immensely proud of their remarkable accomplishments.
CPCU is divided into twelve beds on Progressive Care with a Nurse-Patient-Ratio of 1:3-4 and 18 Cardiac Telemetry beds with a Nurse-Patient-Ratio of 1:4-6. Our vacancy rates are low, 11% on CPCU and 0% in CTMS. Turnover rate is currently at 7.65%. Patient Satisfaction has been consistently admirable and is currently 81.25% in the 87th percentile. We have remarkable Quality numbers as well. Cardiac Progressive primarily cares for patients with cardiac diagnosis such as cardiovascular disease, dysrhythmias, post cardiac procedures and device implants and well as patients with moderate to severe respiratory issues.
About Lakeland St. Joseph
Corewell Health Lakeland Medical Center is a 196-bed hospital providing critical care medicine, hospitalists, medical and radiation oncology, open heart surgery and comprehensive cardiac services, emergency care from board-certified physicians, neurosurgery, orthopedics, obstetrics, rehabilitation services, behavioral medicine, and radiology. It is also the home of the Frederick S. Upton Education Center, which hosts an array of health education programs for the community.
This RN Manager will lead a team of 57 FTEs on CPCU with four Clinical Nurse Supervisors, and 16 FTEs in CTMS with one Lead.
Scope of work
Assumes 24-hour accountability for managing, supervising, and coordinating the operational and financial effectiveness and efficiency of the nursing services/ unit of the hospital. Develops policies, procedures, and processes in coordination with other leaders to ensure the highest quality services are always provided to all customers. Assures presence of a supportive and healthy work environment that promotes retention and embraces diversity. Key responsibilities include unit-based goal setting, program development, fiscal management, resource allocation, standards of care, policy and procedure development and interpretation, human resource development, performance improvement, supports a culture of safety and maintenance of interprofessional collaborative relationships.
