Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX, part of Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a full time Registered Nurse to join our amazing Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit (STC-5)! \nSchedule: Full Time - Days/Nights - 36 hours per week
\nUnit Summary
\nThis 36-bed telemetry monitored nursing unit provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients ranging in age from Adults to Geriatrics. The conditions that are within the scope of service for STC-5 include but are not limited to the following:
\n· Wide variety of Medical Diagnosis, Most patients we see come from the ICU, especially the MICU
\n· Patients requiring medication regimens
\n· Patients with impaired respiratory status
\n· Patients requiring airborne, contact and/or droplet precautions
\n· Patients requiring nutritional support
\n· Patients requiring wound and skin care
\n· Diagnostic procedures including thoracentesis, lumbar punctures, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath insertion, pacemaker and collection of specimens
\n· Patients requiring N/G suction
\n· Patients requiring cardiac monitoring
\n· Patients with GI abnormalities
\n· Severe Sepsis
\n· Bi-Pap machines ( external vent)
\n· CHF
\n· Multi-Organ Failure points.

Qualifications
\n\nGrad of an Accredited Program\nSpecialized field of study should be nursing.\nA current and valid nursing license.\nMust have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.\n
