Patient care includes assessment, planning, and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Medical Acute, you will take primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under your supervision. Work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care. *As a RN, you will provide exceptional nursing care under the scope of the following duties:* * Providing a variety of patient populations including pre/post-surgery, and other high acuity patients. * Conferring with physicians to discuss diagnoses and devise well-coordinated treatment approaches for 5 patients simultaneously. * Administering PO, IV, IM, SQ, enteral, topical, and inhalation medications. Insert and manage intravenous and enteral lines. * Providing wound care, dressing changes, and ostomy care. * Educating patients, families and caregivers on diagnosis and prognosis, treatment options, disease process and management and lifestyle management.
