**Responsibilities**
**Expectations:**
+ Provide a variety of routine tasks and direct patient care to support our patients and our clinical teams.
+ Answer call lights and unit phones to assist with questions and concerns from patients and family members.
+ Communicate, monitor and document pertinent patient information
+ Assist with admission, transfers, transporting, lifting, and discharge of patients
+ Make rounds and respond promptly to patients, families, and clinical team requests.
+ Work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse and multi-cultural environment.
+ Assist in organization, cleaning, and safety of the unit and patient rooms
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications:**
One (1) year of Medical Surgical RN experience
+ Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma
+ Bachelors in Nursing Preferred
+ Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
+ BLS with skills demonstration
**Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
+ Effective Communication
+ Knowledge of the principles and skills of the nursing process to provide patient care and treatment.
+ Critical thinking skills
+ Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal
+ Basic Computer skills – familiarity with Windows based software programs.
**Preferred**
+ Experience working in an acute care facility
**Pay Range**
$33.00 - $52.80 /hour
