The NICU at Northwest Medical Center has an opportunity available for an experienced NICU RN. This position is not a "New Graduate" opportunity. Join a team oriented, fast paced environment in which to grow, focused on EBP!
The Registered Nurse in the NICU at Northwest Medical Center, Women's Center evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Our NICU is a 17 bed level 2E unit.
The RN assists physicians during examinations and procedures, performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
The RN establishes patient care goals and teaches parents and families to understand conditions, medications, and care needs.
The NICU RN relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and performs a variety of tasks. Collaborates with other disciplines to provide optimal care. Either directly or indirectly reporting to a nursing supervisor, plans, directs, participates in and evaluates patient care.
Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Education: ADN or Diploma in Nursing Program, BSN preferred
Experience: Level 3 or 2E experience required, charge experience preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
Required
Current Arizona RN license or compact state license
American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS
