\nPatient Population: 22 weeks GA - Term
\nPatient Ratios: 1:1-4
\nNumber of Beds: 83, 8 bed Tiniest Texans unit, average daily census 50
\nUnit selling points: State Designated Level IV NICU Care. 600+ Annual NICU admissions. 24/7 Neonatologist and NNP in-house coverage. Nurses are encouraged to set and reach their goals. Training and advancement opportunities. Neonatal transport team. Neonatal Internship. Transition to Practice residency. Support to achieve specialty certification.

Job Summary
\nAs a Seasonal RN, you align with our nursing model, manage patient care, evaluate, recognize, create, implement care plans. Monitor patient progress is also vital. Your knowledge will help patients navigate the healthcare system safely, reducing complications. You will use your expertise to understand patient needs and the healthcare environment.
\n\n
What You'll Do
\n\nUsing good judgment and clinical reasoning, conduct thorough assessments following practice standards.\nIdentify patient and family needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans accordingly. Make adjustments as needed.\nCreating safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff.\nManaging emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering.\n\n\n
Seasonal Commitment Information
\n\nFull-time Seasonal weekly requirements are three 12-hour shifts for the 13-week contract (excludes 1st week of orientation)\n\n\n$1,500 completion bonus for meeting minimum productive time\n$51 Seasonal rate. \nEligible for shift differentials. $3.50 for evenings, $5 for nights, and $6 for weekends. These are stackable (as applicable by time/day) so if you worked a weekend night, you would be paid $51 + $5 + $6. \n\n\nWeekend requirements are the same as regular FT- Rotating weekends\nThe first week is Monday- Friday orientation.\nAlthough this is a short term (13 week) assignment, you would be a Baylor employee (not contractual, agency, etc.). The hope is that once the assignment is concluded, you will convert to a regular FT, PT, or PRN role. \n\n
Seasonal Registered Nurse Requirements
\n\nAt least two years of RN experience in the NICU, must be level III or higher\nGraduate of an Accredited Nursing Program \nLicense/Certification \n\no RN- Registered Nurse
\no BLS- Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
\no NRP- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (required within 30 days of hire)
