Job Description:Provides triage and health advice by phone to patients, consumers, and clients. Utilizes computerized Barton Schmitt /David Thompson evidence based triage protocols to assist in assessing patients’ symptoms to arrive at a patient disposition. Also receives requests for information on medical conditions, medications, diagnostic tests, and prescription refills. All calls are documented electronically in real time. In addition, responsibilities include processing prescription refill requests received from pharmacies and patients, utilizing the Essentia Health primary care refill protocol. May also participate in remote patient monitoring patients who have been discharged from an Essentia Health hospital. Works with ambulatory computer software systems. Supports Essentia Health East, Central and West markets.

Education Qualifications:

BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Current RN license in the state of North Dakota, Minnesota, and/or Wisconsin upon hire

Ability to obtain RN license in all 3 states within 3 months of hire
