Promptly completes documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patient’s care. + Accurately and promptly implements provider’s orders. + Observes and supports all UnityPoint Health and company-specific policies and protocols. + Assists in case management initiation and follow-up. + Functions independently in a single-nurse-staffed clinic. + Delivers high quality care while demonstrating knowledge and clinical skills of the specialty required in assigned unit/dept./area in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of care. + Utilizes holistic approach (considering biopsychosocial, spiritual, educational, safety, and related criteria) appropriate to the age of the patients and families served in the assigned service area. + Utilizes critical thinking in making independent judgements; maintains responsibility and accountability for the knowledge of conditions of assigned patients. + Assists in all areas and aspects of the Occupational Health clinic as requested by Director of Occupational Health and Employee Health. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** Identify items that are minimally required to perform the essential functions of this position. **Preferred or Specialized** Not required to perform the essential functions of the position. **Education:** Graduate of accredited nursing program (Must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire) Bachelor of Science (BSN) degree in Nursing **Experience:** 3 years of nursing experience · One (1) year of outpatient clinical experience or demonstrated clinical efficiency. · Prior Occupational Health nursing experience **License(s)/Certification(s):** · Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa. · Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within three (3) months from date of hire. · Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. · Obtain and maintain National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) approved spirometry. · Obtain and maintain Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) certification. · Obtain and maintain certification in Department of Transportation Drug & Alcohol Testing/Screening. **Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:** · Accountability · Adaptability · Collaboration · Communication-written & verbal · Decision making · Flexibility · Customer/patient focused · Interpersonal skills · Professionalism · Teamwork · Planning and Organizational skills **Other:** · Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position. · Work may occasionally require travel to other UPH facilities.
