Registered Nurse - RN - Oncology Unit

Location: Trinity Health Oakland, Pontiac, MI

Department:  5 South is 36 bed unit that provides care for patients who have a diagnosis of Oncology, Hospice, Anemia, Hematology, Comfort Care, Palliative Care, Radiation or Nuclear Treatment,  Chemotherapy administration(AML, CML, leukemia patients) and sickle cell.

Minimum rate of pay: $33.92 (as licensed RN) - PLUS DailyPAY

Shifts Available: Day Shift - 12 hours, 7:00am-7:30pm

Status available: Full-time, every third weekend

Position Purpose

The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative environment at Trinity Health to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team supplying evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. Nurses are expected to ease all aspects of the patient visit experience.

Required Qualifications:

Education

Graduation from a school of nursing that results in the ability of the graduate to sit for the NCLEX exam to become licensed as a Registered Nurse.

BSN preferred or must agree in writing to obtain BSN within 5 years.

What you will do:

• Under limited supervision, the Registered Nurse handles assessing patients, including developing, evaluating, and changing the care plan. The RN interprets and performs complex patient care procedures specific to their ability.

• RNs are members of the Care Team and Support Team and have accountability to function as a team to conduct patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.

• The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the care given to a group of patients for a designated period.

• The RN supplies care to those patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and other healthcare team members, according to established standards.
