Indian River Hospital's 5S Orthopaedics Unit provides care to patients with bone, joint and connective tissue conditions and disorders. As an RN, you will interact with patients of all ages, helping ensuring they have the best experience possible while receiving treatment. You will work alongside a family of caregivers who will offer encouragement, support and assistance as you expand your skillsets together at Cleveland Clinic. **A caregiver in this position works from 7:00AM - 7:00PM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide direct nursing care. + Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. + Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions. + Administer prescribed medications and treatments. + Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. + Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs. + Educate patients and their families. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing + Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) + One year of current acute care RN experience OR consider licensed military RN experience OR less than one year of current inpatient acute care experience can be considered for RN Resident training Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
