The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit's (PACU) team of caregivers at Euclid Hospital pride themselves on providing top-quality and patient-centered care all while ensuring the safety of their patients. As an RN in the PACU, you will provide direct nursing care to diverse populations of post-surgical patients waiting for their anesthesia to wear off. This includes monitoring patient's health, assessing patient's pain levels, administering medication, and maintaining up-to-date patient records. **A caregiver in this position works 8:00am - 4:30pm or 10:00am - 6:30pm with on-call requirements.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide direct nursing care. + Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. + Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions. + Administer prescribed medications and treatments. + Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. + Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs. + Educate patients and their families. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. + Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). + One year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider military RN experience. + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).
