Amergis Staffing iscurrently seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) assignmentsin New Britain, CT!
Position Details:
Contract Length: 13 weeks (+ability toextend)
Number of Openings: 1
Start Date: 3/10 or within 3 weeks of offer
Hours/Shifts/Schedules: 36 (3x12's) / Days/ Rotating hours (8a, 8:30a, 9a, 9:30a)
Setting:
+ Level III trauma hospital
+ 11-bed PACU unit
+ General surgery, Ortho with knee, hip, shoulder replacement, Neuro spine cases, Crani's GYN, cysto with stent placement
Position Requirements:
+ Minimum 3 years of RN PACU/ICU experience
+ EPIC charting experience
+ Experience working in a trauma setting
+ Active CT RN license
+ BLS and ACLS (AHA)

Thepost-anesthesia care Unit (PACU) nurse cares for patients who have under goneanesthesia. The post-anesthesia care Unit (PACU) nurse isresponsible for observing and treating a patient postoperation and making surethat they safely awake from anesthesia. The PACU nurse must monitor vitalsigns and levels of consciousness to make sure that the sedation is wearing offproperly, there are no adverse reactions occurring and patients are regainingconsciousness.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Current RN licensure in the state in which RN is working.
+ ACLS and PALS certification per contract requirements.
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
