About the Community
Founded in 1871, the seat of Gregg County and said to be named for the view from Mr. Methvin’s front porch. (The owner of the land at the time it was purchased by the railroad.) Welcome to a community where you can experience big city living, with a small town community. Being close to Interstate 20 gives you access to all the big cities of the state. With Dallas being less than 2 hours away, you’re a hop jump and a skip to the city. The community of Longview is warm and welcoming. We have everything you could ever want in a community, the only thing we are missing is you!
