What you will do:

Respond to victims of crime, including sexual assault, throughout Child Advocacy Centers covered by the St. Peter’s Health Partners Forensic Nursing Program.

Responsibilities:

Provide evidence collection and medico-legal examinations of crime victims when on callRequired to provide testimony if subpoenaedCommunicates with medical team, law enforcement and victims; advocating before, during, and after the exam as neededProvides individualized care to each victim adhering to confidentiality and privacyFunctions as a mandated reporterHave Availability to cover pediatric examinations as needed

What you will need:

Current RN License in State of New York3 Years RN Experience with 1 year experience caring for pediatric sexual assault patients independentlyBLSNYSAFE CertificationSANE-P RecommendedFast Critical Thinking skillsCommunication/Bedside Manner skillsGood Assessment skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively

Pay Range: $36.50 - $49.95

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
