Overview Fairview Health Services is searching for hardworking RNs looking for an exciting career in our Pediatric Unit located at our Burnsville, Minnesota campus! Our hospital is just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis, MN near the 35E and 35 W conjunctions. The hospital has been providing state-of-the art care and community services to the residents of the sophisticated Minnesota Valley since 1984. About This Unit: Fairview Ridges Pediatric staff work on a 16 bed unit that accepts pediatric patients, pediatric outpatients and overflow adult patients. The types of patient diagnosis include, but not limited to: respiratory illness, hyperbilirubinemia, appendectomies, urinary tract infection, sepsis, gastroenteritis, dehydration. The peds staff also administers infusions for the specialty clinic as well as run the nitrous administration program for all children. The culture is one of teamwork & collaboration between ALL. This position is 60 hours per pay period, day/night, 12 hour shifts, two out of six weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). We offer generous benefits including medical, dental, time off and more. Check out additional benefits information here: ww.fairview.org/benefits/noncontractrn Responsibilities Job Description The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. We coordinate care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate. We are also the people who work as the scrub person during L&D operative procedures. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Active MN RN License. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare providers. PEARS or PALS certification acquired by the end of orientation. NRP certification acquired by the end of orientation. Preferred Qualifications BSN or BAN RN Med/Surg acute care experience One year clinical experience in an in-patient pediatric setting.
