Registerd Nurse /Clinical Risk Specialist

Per Diem 

 

Overview:

 

Works closely with AVP and Director of Risk Management on assessing current inpatient complications/outcomes through interviews with staff and medical record review, follows up on established Risk Alerts, responds to patient complaints (written and oral) and prepares Professional Safety Committee summaries. The Risk Specialist plays a vital role in the department, evaluating and assessing overall patient risk in the institution; makes recommendations for process improvement in the Hospital and participates in planning for changes/improvement within the department. The Clinical Risk Specialist also assists in departmental special projects for the MIAC Board.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN) and possess at least five years quality nursing experience. A current NY State registration and license is required. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel as well as comfort in working with Electronic Occurrence Reporting Systems is preferred. Excellent organization and communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment will be essential to your success at HSS.

Other Requirements #LI-AG1 Pay Range - Minimum USD $62.39/Hr. Pay Range - Maximum USD $72.11/Hr.
