Job Description

We are seeking a PRN (as needed) Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our surgical team in Baltimore. In this role, you will provide skilled nursing care in our state-of-the-art operating room, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through expert perioperative care.

Function as both a scrub nurse and primarily as a circulating nurse during surgical proceduresPrepare operating room for scheduled surgeries, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are availableMaintain sterile field and assist surgical team during proceduresMonitor patient condition throughout surgical proceduresCoordinate with surgical team members to ensure efficient room turnoverDocument patient care using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)Respond to emergency situations following established protocolsParticipate in surgical counts and specimen handlingAssist in the orientation of new staff membersEnsure compliance with all safety and infection control protocolsCompany Description

QualificationsCurrent Registered Nurse license in the state of MarylandMinimum of 2 years of operating room experienceCurrent BLS certificationsCNOR certification preferredDemonstrated proficiency in both scrub and primarily in circulating rolesStrong knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentsExperience with electronic medical records systems (EPIC)Excellent sterile technique and infection control practicesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to respond effectively in emergency situationsPhysical ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move equipmentFlexibility to work varying shifts as needed (PRN basis)Additional Information
